Friends of Garden Gate Rabbit Park
As busy as some days are we like the perks that come by mail and email! We just heard from three families telling us that they just received our new calendars and are thrilled to give them as gifts for Christmas! One lady in Canada wrote to tell us how much their family likes all the different rabbits and they always buy two so that they can give one away!
One mother in California gives her son our calendar every year.
" My son gets the biggest kick out of your calendar! "
It is more work than people realize since we raise 130 rabbits. All the care each day alongwith maintenance, requires help from our whole family. The rabbit pictures that delight families are photographs that take many hours of preparations. Since rabbits are busy smelling and tasting everything while we try to pose them it makes our work even more challenging! Trying to find an acceptable picture for the Calendar is part of our work too! Some pictures are too bright, too dark, too small, so blurry, and from the wrong angle-of all things! Plans are changed when the weather is windy or rainy and so we face many drawbacks and problems. To finally have the pictures and then prepare the layout on InDesign for our printer is the next stage of our labor. The proofs have to be checked before the printer completes the project and then we have to market our finished product too! The market place is competitive and knows nothing about our bunnies or work! Sooo...we are glad to make loyal friends that love rabbits as much as we do!
We are so glad that people enjoy our rabbits at any age! We were told that our pictures "make smiles!" So that is what makes Garden Gate Calendars special too!
